Gregory D. Doering, Principal

Mr. Doering is a recognized expert in the field of IPM and sustainable practices for ornamental and agricultural crops. He is a pioneer in both technical and practical use of soil dynamic testing and recommendation of various soil amendments to increase the quality and health of most crops.

Mr. Doering has a vast knowledge of pesticide use and safety. He is developing an easy to use spreadsheet for pesticide record keeping and provides various levels of service for pesticide use reporting all of which is required by any Oregon pesticide user in 2002 and beyond. His current practice includes all of the above plus monitoring, inspections, recommendations, product research, state and federal regulation compliance evaluation and training, marketing and business development, presentations, and writing.

Mr. Doering's career has given him a very diversified background in both ornamental and agricultural crop care. He has over 30 years of industry experience while working throughout the pacific northwest.

Five years as a farm manager for a 10,000-acre wheat, peas, green beans, alfalfa, and cattle ranch at Barnett Rugg Ranch in Athena, OR

Three years as an assistant manager and field consultant for Douglas County Farmer’s Co-op in Roseburg, OR

13 years as a Vice President and plant health manager for Pruett Tree & Landscape in Lake Oswego, OR

Two years as an account executive for Professional Turf Center & Foodweb Online in Tigard, OR

Throughout his career Mr. Doering has worked with leading landscape contractors, arborists, architects, property managers, golf course superintendents, schools, municipalities, parks, vineyards, wheat farmers, grass seed and turf growers, row crops, berry, fruit, & nut growers, hay producers, and cattle and sheep ranchers. He has been able to save them money, improve their production, and protect them from costly fines.

A few of his landscape clients include General Tree Service, Kurisu International, Teufel Landscape, Dennis’ Seven Dees Landscaping, Prograss Landscape Services and DeSantis Landscapes. Golf course consulting at Oswego Lake Country Club, Charbonneau Golf Club, Claremont Golf Course, Eugene Country Club, Riverwood Golf Course, Stonecreek Golf Club, and Camas Meadows Golf Club. He has worked with the City of Tigard, Portland Park
Department, the City of Tualatin, the Salem Park Department, the Vancouver, Washington school district, and Salem Public Schools. Agricultural clients include: Rex Hill Vineyard, Henry Estate Winery, Giradet Wine Cellars, Hillcrest Vineyards, Sego Herb Farm, Lisignoli Farms, Bare Ranches, Kuenzi Sod Farm, Roseburg Forest Products, Terra Nova Nurseries, and Rexius Forest By-Products. Mr. Doering has been invited to speak to various groups including: the City of Portland, the City of Seattle, Lawn, Garden, and Patio Show, ISA and IPAA workshops, along with various TV and radio programs.
